ARTILLERY posten ersten Vorgeschmack

Die legendären dänischen Thrasher ARTILLERY haben das erste Stück ihres im Juni 2009 erscheinenden Comeback-Albums auf ihrer Website hochgeladen. Es handelt sich um eine Instrumentalversion des METALLICA-Klassikers 'For Whom The Bell Tolls'. Anhören kann man sich das Stück des noch unbetitelten Albums hier.
Interessanterweise wollen die reformierten Dänen wieder zu ihren Wurzeln zurückkehren und nicht - wie es Gitarrist Michael Stützer noch im Oktober 2008 im Interview mit POWERMETAL.de anklingen ließ - einen Mix aller Veröffentlichungen der Band mit neuen Elementen auf der neuen Scheibe bieten. Doch lest selbst, was die Band über das neue Album zu sagen hat:
"...To introduce you all to the style and sound of the cd we decided to put one of the songs (a cover) online. As you will be able to hear we are going back to the very roots of thrash metal, with an extremely raw 80s production and no digital editing. Even though Bells is instrumental and a cover, it's representative of the new album as a whole. We opted for an approach where we capture the spirit of the moment, so no double takes or technical song structures - metal as it was meant to be! The new album is a journey back to the days before Fear of Tomorrow, the true "early days" of Artillery. Enjoy!"
