BLOC PARTY: Zukunft ungewiss

Kommentieren
BLOC PARTY-Sänger Kele Okereke wird am 21. Juni sein Soloalbum "The Boxer" veröffentlichen. Dem britischen NME erzählte er, dass die Zukunft für BLOC PARTY, die sich ein Jahr Pause gönnen, etwas ungewiss sei: "Who knows how we'll feel about anything in a year's time? I'm not very good at restarting things in my personal life – like if I break up with someone, I tend to close the door. So I was always worried about this, about how I'd feel about reintegrating, but it isn't just my decision. They [his bandmates] all have lives so we need to address it in a year's time. We'll see."
Über sein Solodebüt zeigt sich Okereke allerdings viel euphorischer: "It feels like a new start. It is me, it's my name. I was responsible for all the musical and artistic decisions in making this record. It wasn't a band. So it is me, yeah. This is the most me for sure."
