DEKAPITATOR haben sich aufgelöst

Still und heimlich haben sich die US-Thrasher DEKAPITATOR bereits vor einigen Monaten verabschiedet und die Band zu Grabe getragen. Die beiden EXHUMED-Mitglieder Matt "Hellfiend" Harvey (Gitarre/Gesang) und Col Jones (Schlagzeug) gründeten DEKAPITATOR im Jahr 1996 und veröffentlichten insgesamt mit der Band zwei Studioalben. Das aktuellste Werk, "The Calm Before The Storm" (2007), erschien bei Relapse Records, und konnte auf ganzer Linie überzeugen. Schade drum.
Die Band hat folgende Nachricht auf ihrer MySpace-Seite gepostet:
"June marks the final show Dekapitator played last year [2008 - Anm. d. Verf.] at Bolazo Gallery in SF with our brothers Fueled By Fire and Merciless Death also with our long local friends in Devastator.A year has passed and life moves on.This has been a great run for us.Especially myself,Matt and Andy who started this crazy adventure one night on stage in the shity part of Oakland in 1996.Line up have changed,shows have been slayed,records have been layed and countless beers have been drank.Be sure to check out Matt and Andy playing on stage at a Repulsion show near you.The Axecutioner may one day rise again.Until then keep thrash alive.Never let it die again.Cheers".
