Hier die offizielle Presseerklärung:
"Savatage is officially announcing the departure of Zachary Stevens as lead singer of the band. Zak has decided to pursue other career options and has also expressed desire to spend time with his family and new baby daughter. All of us from Savatage/TSO Camp wish him all the luck, happiness and success in the world.
As for Savatage's new CD "Poets and Madmen". . . Jon Oliva has resumed his role as the sole lead singer for this upcoming CD. Jon Oliva. . .
"We wanted to make sure that Zak was certain of his decision to step down before we moved forward on the new CD. Having left Savatage before myself, I know what Zak is going through. . . we are all very close friends, it is always hard to part ways with band mates. They are family and will always be family. Chris Caffery returned, I returned, we never know what the future will hold with Zak and Savatage. This also includes TSO and other upcoming projects. The new CD is just about finished and I am sure it will make Savatage fans very happy."
As for right now there is no replacement for Zak, the band is looking at several options. Everything will be in place before the tour starts in February. Official announcements will be made as they occur and you can expect to hear Jon Oliva sing a lot more on the "Poets" tour."
